I see. Anyways, I'm so happy not seeing anything from that particular individual that I don't mind missing downstream replies, no matter how juicy they might be. Anyways, they're usually just a long list of complaints about how disgusting the nasty bigot's comments are.

Had the same reaction. It's like a rank fart has almost completely dissipated.
Makes me wonder if there will be a knock-on effect of people engaging less with these people, and thus starving them of air, partly bc they may have muted them directly, partly because, knowing that many people will have muted, they'll feel it won't be worth the trouble to reply.
An interesting sociological experiment for sure.

I wish it worked that way. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that never happens, neither on the digital nor the analog world. The good thing on the digital side of life is that it's much easier to filter bigots and bullies out, provided the right tools, like muting, I guess. I wish it was as affordable on the analog side.
