I do think the jets trade for a QB, I don't think it'll be Cousins, they don't have the draft capital or the cap space, (even though the cap is a myth and they'd just sign him to a new deal). I think the Jets trade for Tannehill.

I'll never understand why they ditched carr and took Jimmy. Carr gave them the best shot at winning now. I don't think Jimmy does that. And if you're bringing in a bridge QB... who are you bridging to? The rookie didn't impress in preseason.

You and I must have watched different preseasons, but there's definitely no guarantee O'Connell will be a great QB.
Unfortunately, we know why they got rid of Carr. He had the nerve to change play calls at the line of scrimmage and McDaniels' ego couldn't handle it when Carr's audibles worked.

Lynch and Shanahan have done an incredible job with the roster. Especially the depth. Also helps that the owner let's them manage the cap by converting 35M of Kittle and Williams money straight into signing bonus to make room for Bosa's numbers, likely Aiyuk extension after this season and maybe even a trade deadline add.
Even though they have yet to win the big one, I am grateful the 49ers have excellent management and coaching staff.

Don't get me wrong O'Connell was fine. But he didn't look like he was gunna take over the franchise and become the face of a madden game any time soon.

Taking over the franchise is a pretty low bar right now, but I similarly doubt we'll be seeing him on the cover of Madden.
