It is so frustrating because even with this topic, I see all entities playing their part in order to obscure reality. It is literally this that causes people to believe that no punishment ever happens to someone from the other political party and divide us further from each other.
That couldn't be further from the truth. I have seen democrats and republicans both rightfully punished. Unfortunately, it does not happen as often as it should which brings me to your point about the culling. I would be curious to learn the answer as to why this is infrequent enough to instill doubt about any action being done.
Every now and then something like this happens and we get a bone thrown our way. The right can have their arguments, the left theirs. Its like we are all on a farm waiting for the troff to open.
I guess that is why Animal Farm is the book that it is.
Speaking of culling, I really found it curious how Cuomo went from hero to goat so quickly. I was never a big fan, but the way he was ridden from office was bizarre.

Same deal with Rudy. Dude was an absolute legend breaking up mobs and that alone netted him good will for decades. But despite that he had apparently been being a shit stain the whole time and the marketing holding up his image finally fell through.
I think at the end of the day debts have to be repaid and folks like Rudy and Cumo accumulated too much and overextended themselves. To the same end though, if they have been terrible people the entire time why have they only been getting in trouble recently? Maybe the offenses had not been that big of a deal and only accumulates overtime in retrospect, I don't know.
I do wish we had a system better set up to call out our servants and cull them the very second they fuck up and do something that is not in the interest of the people. Democrat or Republican I don't care about your party you are all of our public servants.
Maybe when corporations are not considered people anymore.
