I didn't realize we had so many hockey fans lingering around Stacker Sports. I thought NBA would dominate the non NFL interest around here but every response I got yesterday in regards to what people are looking forward to in fall sports was related to hockey. Surprising.

I will be honest as much as it pains me to say, I am impressed with what Treliving has done so far. I was not a Dubas fan at all.

I do think Dubas will be successful in Pittsburgh. He started to understand that you can't build a team like you are playing fantasy hockey and the O'Reilly pick up showed that. The problem is the leafs core are a bunch of losers. Sorry to say but Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are all super talented but they aren't winners. Even though I like what Treliving is doing trying to change the character of the team, bringing in grinders and tough guys, I still think you can't win with those three as your leaders.

Perhaps that has something to do with how bad the early NBA season tends to be.
Maybe or possibly because NHL starts sooner than NBA so it is more top of mind right now. Personally I prefer NBA over NHL but I will take MLB and NFL over both of them any day.
I did get a good response when doing the NBA playoff series pick em bounties so I think it will heat up as the season approaches.
