you'd say "that's not a 'lignting focused startup'"
i'd say sure... but what startup isn't burning money? and if you don't have a VC, then are you a startup?
anyway, you're probably getting at an interesting point, but i'm not sure your question is framed in a way that can get you an answer that doesn't support your point.
OpenNode and @voltage come to mind
i'd say btcpayserver

agree. btcpayserver since they are focussed on payments. But are they generating any revenue?
No, they're just burning money from Spiral grants.
Define burning VC money ...
Burning VC money = Not cashflow positive yet. Burning more money than earnings..! e.g. stacker news..???
I would more so call a startup that’s “not cash flow positive” to be “surviving on VC money” … burning implies a gross misappropriation of funds.
agree. I did not mean to insult anyone. Genuinely wanted to find out the companies who are making money on their own.
You mean all these are burning VC money?

Most of the companies on the picture are funded by VC capital. Not sure if any of those are cashflow positive.
Tbf that is more the nature of startups than the nature of lightning, imo.
If any professional routing node operators were cash flow positive, would we know? and wouldn't they be wise to reinvest any profits into growth?
