Just got home and turned on the game.
Saints about to score.
Let's kick this thing off.
Big INT for Panthers. Takeover in Saints territory.
reply
Terrible decision
reply
These games are a mess. I can't keep up.
reply
No kidding. Reviewing the spot because a fumble moved it back one yard.
reply
4 turnovers in 1Q. Remind me never to take the Steelers or Browns in the survivor pool.
reply
This game is bonkers
reply
Compromise: I'll remind you of this if you do pick either of them.
reply
Crazy game.
reply
Do they always have split screen with both games? Nice.
reply
I forgot about that. You just saved me from trying to watch and chat at the same time on my laptop.
reply
I don't have a split screen. I have one on tv and one on laptop. I am watching on TSN in Canada though. Two separate channels.
reply
Steelers start hot with a pick 6 in game 2.
reply
I have Steelers/Browns on the television and Saints/Panthers on my phone and my laptop open to SN. What will the wife say when she sees this? Probably just turn around and walk out of the room.
reply
Update: She said "so this means I don't have to hear you yelling about the game because you can yell with your friends on the internet." Haha. She is funny (sometimes).
reply
My daughter told me yesterday that she hates when football season starts because I get so angry. I explained that I'm a Jets fan.
reply
The birthright of a Jets fan?
My daughter will inherit 4 months of being confused and disappointed. RN4L
reply
When the Jets took Ken OBrien over Dan Marino in the 1983 draft my late father broke our TV. He claimed it was an accident.
reply
I didn't know that happened. I can see why it would still be a sore subject 40 years later.
reply
We've got a kid with a possible ear infection, so we'll see how much MNF my wife will tolerate.
reply
That's no fun. My kiddos have been sick the past few days too but were much better today.
reply
I remember those days. Ear infections are rough. My daughter is now 22. Ear infections are over, replaced by chronic wiseassery.
reply
My daughter's only three, but she's already flashing signs of wiseassery.
reply
Join the club my friend.
reply
She will fit right in on SN if that's the case.
reply
What is going on in these games? It's completely absurd. That was like 3 fumbles in one play.
reply
Another year, another failed hope of winning for my Panthers!
reply
A Panthers fan. Welcome. Hopefully we hear from you again. We do a weekly pick em contest on fridays for 1000 sats if you want to join.
reply
I didn't know they really existed either.
reply
I will definitely join in on Friday.
reply
With Chubb out Steelers should roll in second half
reply
Never know. Been a crazy game. @blokchainb needs the Saints tonight for Survivor pool. We had 4 eliminated this week. One re-buy already executed.
reply
Who got knocked out and which team(s) got them?
reply
Wumbo and ekzyis with the Lions. Turd with the chargers. Mallard with the Broncos.
Turd has already bought back in.
reply
I'm so happy it was the Chargers and Broncos. You have to beware perennially overrated teams early in the season.
reply
Mallard has been bullish on the Broncos since preseason. He gave me this whole 3 paragraph write up on why the Broncos were going to be a surprise team this year.
reply
Surprisingly bad maybe. If they do improve it will still probably take some time to learn the new system.
reply
In carr I trusted. Never again 😂
reply
He's 2-0 so far, but as someone who rooted for him with the Raiders, it is hard to have confidence in him.
reply
Exactly. He should be better! That game last night was way too close
reply
He should be better!
Welcome to the Derek Carr experience.
reply
How does the Jimmy G experience compare so far?
reply
It's similar, except for the constant injury fear and complete lack of a deep ball. I will say that Jimmy seems more willing to stand in the pocket and get completely pummeled by rushing defenders, where Carr would preemptively curl into a ball.
Next time I am not going to try to comment play by play. I am missing replies now because of the endless comments. My bad. Live and learn.
reply
Saints finally scored a TD
reply
Touchdown Browns but Chubb got badly injured on the previously play. Huge loss for Browns.
reply
Another turnover. Saints pick up a fumble.
reply
Browns INT. What was Pickett thinking.
reply
No harm done. FG miss.
reply
Browns kick a FG.
7-3 Steelers.
reply
Saints have to settle for a FG. Nice D from Panthers.
6-3 Saints.
reply
Incredible catch to set up first and goal.
reply
Madden always loved those catches: 1 butt = 2 feet.
reply
Saints pick up the FG. 3-3
With everyone picking the Dolphins yesterday for the weekly pick em. The tiebreaker likely is the deciding factor this week.
reply
Carr's redzone difficulties continue.
reply
Yup. Underthrew that ball. Easy TD.
reply
The two Jets fans @siggy47 and @btc_bellzer have the closest tiebreakers. Each was 1 point off. One has browns, the other has steelers. Compelling. I will have to review all the picks again to see if anyone else can take it but I think it will come down to these two.
reply
I got in late on this week's picks and had to hope for some Pats offense to hit the tie-breaker.
reply
I thought the Pats might win that game. It's like they forgot Miami D sucked until the 4th Quarter. Haha.
reply
Cosmic consolation for living through another Zach season
reply
Ughhhh
reply
Time to go QB shopping?
reply
Was not an impressive performance yesterday.
reply
Wasn't entirely his fault but I've already given up...Just End The Season
reply
Tank for Caleb Williams? Cardinals seem like they are doing a pretty bad job at it. 0-2 but if they keep flirting with victory like that they are bound to win a few.
reply
Aren't they expected to have the first two picks, though?
reply
They have the texans first rounder as well. So potentially.
And we know Jet's impressive QB draft history. I feel nauseas.
Doubtful. With that d they'll win a few.
Hard pass on USC QBs coming to the Jets
reply
Agreed. Can't really blame him. O line gave him little time, but if he can't manage quick release there's no chance. He also isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
