So iv had Chivo wallet since day one and heard alot hate to this poor little app even I talk shit about it, The app we love to hate.
The people make it shit
the user who has no idea wtf they are doing the clerk at the shop who has exactly 0 training or knowledge what bitcoin is, and fuck me the customer service God bless their souls who don't know the difference between onchain and lighting .BTW the only time I got rug pulled was by chivo never had a chance to shitcoin thanks to @darthcoin. So rug pull story I (ONCE) and only once needed to convert my sats to shitcoin the American one the paper one i had to pay somthing in cash only šš , QR pops up I pay in sats and the ATM was out of money so I called them they said no problem we will send it back they sent it back in sats but 30k less it was 40 usd worth not the sats I paid, Fiat minded bitcoin wallet not good.
Alot of people said that money went missing I don't know if its the people that saw the price of BTC dropping or if there were really errors but ill tell you my experience with an error. I always keep my chivo at 0 and one morning I wake up with 3mill sats greatest error ever!!! A friend of a friend woke Up to 12 million Chivo dollars but the idiot sent it to his bank account, yall can imagen what happened next.
In general this app is great leaves Salvadorians no excuse to not use it, we have onchain, lighting, we can send dollars or sats to contacts, phone numbers, gov ID numbers, passports , bank accounts, you can buy sats using debit cards or cash at the chivo ATM, you can withdrawal cash if your a dirty Fiat maxi, you can convert sat to chivo dollars and back, no excuse... well maybe one we have alot of illiterate people here so voice command update???
The reality this app started great then slowly getting shittier with every update

It use to be the greatest traiding platform on the face of the planet, no time limit for converting , I made a killing off instant converting, if corn when up 10$ I converted to Chivo dollars went down 20$ bought corn this was beautiful no limits to how many times you can do this. Now you need to wait 3 minutes. My trading career ended with this update.

Mah dark mode bro, I use to be able to force dark mode, came in handy when your a degenerate trader trading till 4 am. Now you cant your stuck with nuclear white all day long

Debit card withdrawal from outside the country, Canada, USA I don't think this chivos fault but people can no longer receive via this metod if anyone has more info on this please let me know
4.Deposits to bank accounts. This one pissed me off so much we use to be able to deposit in other peoples accounts now you cant you can only send to an account under your name so since I am bankless this really screwed me, chivo customer service solution "open a bank account" again Fiat minded. so back in the day you go to a Fiat maxis bar you can negotiate with the owner tell him ill send it straight to your bank and leave them with the seed in their mind " man this app is pretty cool". I havent paid my rent for 3 months. The land lord is over 70 years old and doesn't want bitcoin not that he's against it his, his aunt of 94 years wanted chivo š.
I found a solution to this but it was a headache.
Over all more positive than negative but this is my point of view boots on ground experiance.
