Hi all,

I spent 10 days in Cuba meeting, mixing and investigating Bitcoin in Cuba.

The result is a 30-minute documentary that I really hope you will learn from and enjoy.

Please shill the video harder than communism f*cked Cuba.

view on youtu.be

I've been instructed to avoid returning to Cuba for the next few years by exiled Cubans. Turns out freedom of speech can get you into trouble.

If you want to support the Cubans on the ground, send sats to:

Muchas gracias,

oh man... I hope you are joking. I survived 20 years of pure communism and escape to the so called "free world", then I realized that is just another shit world, only that now is named "socialism" instead of communism (same pig with lipstick). And now you want me to go to Cuba? FUCK NO!

reply

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ same pig with lipstick.!!

Americans are not allowed to travel to Cuba. You know, because Cuba doesn't respect freedom, unlike the good ole USA :)

you first. I am just fine in my citadel.

I do love those cars!

reply

would you imagine yourself living in Cuba, now?

reply

Seriously? Definitely not. Years ago I was in Mexico with friends. Castro had a deal with Mexico that if U.S. citizens would fly to Cuba their passports would not be stamped so that U.S. authorities would not know they entered the country. Cuba wanted dollars. Some of my friends went. I wouldn't. I would not support that government.

reply
I would not support that government.

Well said. Few tourists realize that all money they spend there end up in govs hands... except Bitcoin.

reply

awesome :D

reply

We watched it. Excellent job! My wife wanted to say that the video made it very easy to understand bitcoin for someone who hasn't studied it.

reply

We just started, but the video quality is fantastic.

reply

Wow 20 pesos for 389 sats 😳

Joe and @sn Please pay attention to this proposal. Like I said here: #257205

Will be nice initiative for SN to start a "pay it forward" movement with Bitcoin. This is true story, I was part of it in 2021 (https://kindnesscontagion.co.uk/index.php/story/) I do not want to sell or shill anything, just Bitcoin adoption.

Let's get some cubans onboard! Doing this scenario described in that post. Let's make it happening in Cuba!

I WILL PAY FOR A CUBAN BEER!

reply

Happy to help - this sounds great! What do you need from me?

reply

Not from you especially. From cubans, reading this post #257205

reply

Nice! I've DM'd them 😊

reply

They're gonna do it at the meetup on Saturday apparentlyβ€”i'd love to hear back!

reply

I already organized a thread for that here. #258853

you are doing an amazing work with all these "on the ground" reports! Thanks you!

reply

Thank youβ€”there's more where that came from!

reply
Paco: there's no seat belts...

Paco, seat belts are for pussies, just to trick your mind that you need for "safety"... is heavier than communist propaganda. Just think about that...

btw... I love how Paco is always eating in all videos πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

reply

Great work @JoeNakamoto!!!

You're not too far from Venezuela.

You should explore the BTC situation over there and see the hyperinflation effects. The problems between BTC miners vs the Dictador, sorry I mean the Government...And experience first hand the colapse of the country with the biggest oil reserves...

reply

Yeah I really want to mate! Funding, finding the time etc.

Bitcoin in Cuba today has changed. There are some Bitcoiner communities, people are learning and teaching about Bitcoin. Work is being done to establish a Circular Economy based on Bitcoin, adapted to our circumstances.

There is still a long way to go, it is true, we have to learn, it is also true but we are already moving forward. We are using more places without KYC to buy BTC, lnp2pbot on telegram is one of those places. Mostro on Nostr is another.

We only hope that sooner rather than later, many Cubans adopt Bitcoin to progress.

If you search on BTCMAP, you will find businesses in Cuba that accept BTC. If you come to Cuba, do not forget to visit them.

reply

Brilliant video. Those are true bitcoiners. I hope American bitcoiners don't have to escape to Cuba ever, but it looks like that might not be a terrible outcome if they drop communism and fiat.

reply

When Peru?

reply

Literally:

The adventures of Legendary Joe and his trusty sidekick Paco fighting communism!

Epic stuff. Will share around.

reply

Joe you fucking legend. Wen Argentina ser?

reply

It's like rum and Coke on the rocks with a tad of lime

reply

Great job buddy!

reply

You guys did such a great job portraying the life raft that bitcoin is, great job! It’s difficult for me to understand why there is such a disconnect from the masses and the obvious safe haven bitcoin can be. This video should be enough proof for anyone.

How can anyone label bitcoin as anything but remarkable after seeing something like this?

reply

Will sent a few sats their way. Good work!
