I have been in El Salvador for a little over a decade (Before ES was cool) iv seen it all, heard it all and yes what you probably heard about this place pre Bukele is probably true or worst, But thats not what I want this to be about I want to wright about my experience when bitcoin was first introduced to the country. I am class of 21 by no means an OG although I knew about bitcoin when it was worth 0.06$ a pop, never took it serious until my president (forced it on to my people🤣) I mean introduced it, That was my aha moment and I thought to myself oh fuck its money now so I panicked. I had a restaurant at the time and was the first to accept bitcoin but to my surprise the people didnt come to spend it they came to sell it to me and at a discount, so for 30$ worth or corn at the time witch was around 100k sats they would sell it to me for 20$ thanks to a friends of mine who already set the price. Thank God I had already met @darthcoin and read a couple of guides and became an apprentice to the dark arts, I understood the true value of bitcoin very early into my journey. I tried explaining to my people that they should not only hold it but put another 30$ into it but with no success every one said the same thing " yea but I need the money now" and thats how I bought my entire villages btc. next week I will wright about my experience trying to spend this btc and how Salvadorians say the darnest things and kind of still do...unfortunately.
