What's the most INTERESTING thing currently happening?
The LLM / AI disruption of reality. Reminds me of btc in many ways -- obvious implications, hiding in plain sight, an initial burst of attention and now, somehow, under-discussed.
I know that, to some people, "under-discussed" probably seems absurd. But given what's coming, I don't think it is.
reply
I agree and it is progressing fast, many careers and jobs are going to get disrupted sooner or later. It could they will use this disruption to impose UBI with CBDC.
reply
Yup. TONS of opportunity, too, of course. But requires a certain amount of agency / attitude to take advantage of, and the focus will be on those left behind, jobs eliminated, etc.
The road to UBI -- or CBDCs for micro-level quantitative easing or similar -- became much clearer. People like to quote Hemingway wrt "gradually, then suddenly" and this is that.
reply
Imagine this level of disruption that could pave the way to UBI in major regions and economies. On one hand it's a big tech and productivity boost - on the other hand the political parasites will use the transition phase to trying to implement their ''utopia'' of full control.
reply
Yeah, i've been messing with GPUTOPIA, Spirit of Satoshi, Perplexity, and Midjourney. Pretty crazy stuff.

The EU being destabilized by the Davosian war on their energy sources (nuclear and coal), mass migration to implode the welfare state and the climate change narrative to impose carbon print control mechanism. The fall of the bloc will have enormous consequences for global stability.
reply
Interesting indeed… and the citizen frogs dont realise they are being boiled by their masters..
reply
Best describing metaphor. Lots love swimming in the mud of warm morals and riskless narratives like: ''saving the world by reducing Your carbon footprint'' - disgusting!
reply
You paint a scary picture. Interesting times.

Do You follow the news from Lampedusa? It's the aftermath of Killery having destroyed Lybia and opened the door for millions of unemployable young men from Africa and the middle east. https://twitter.com/RadioGenoa/status/1703087210998661452?t=79W1LEhRv9lnkkRtk45Gww&s=19
reply
Yes! More migrants than residents. Do you think Killery's motivation was an African gold backed currency?

What do you think of Baerbock calling Xi a dictator?
Obviously this is highly subjective, but I find the collapsing corporate media/entertainment industry fascinating.
reply
Look at the economic data and the migration chaos in this country and You will see that it is sooo far from subjectivity
reply
I just meant whether or not it's fascinating is subjective. Many people don't seem super interested in a lot of this stuff.
