I'm waiting for a service that auto balances my LN channel liquidity. I was thinking Hydro would do that but after looking into it I don't think that's the case.

A couple of thoughts:
I believe that there aren't enough customers for these services at the moment.
However, I still think this is a necessary innovation. Products like these make the liquidity challenges of Lightning more manageable. Imagine a merchant who is on the fence and is debating whether to implement LN. A product like Hydro nudges the merchant closer to implementing LN. Likely, it is still not enough, but in any case, it moves the potential customer a step closer.
So kudos to Amboss!
And all os us need to keep building.

I agree with everything you said. We're still just too damn early but I like this innovation.
Now if I could just automate my node's channel balancing . . .

I don't know enough about it to comment on the details.
My biggest concern would be privacy loss but Jesse said it works with public data and reducing your privacy beyond that is opt-in.

It would appear most stackers aren't potential customers which makes sense. tbh I wouldn't even know who the exact customer is for short term liquidity right now.
I see merchants being used as an example but there's not a whole lot of that going on I imagine. Perhaps folks with some kind of profitable routing strategy?
