That is scary, I wouldn't be comfortable using platforms like substack and medium either, seems like you're only living on borrowed time. I know journas can spin up WP sites or Ghost sites and accept bitcoin but that requires a little technical knowledge and you don't get the benefits of distribution you get on those apps like substack.

I've tried some different methods, we're using coincoiner check out on our site, but also have a LN address and a Liquid Address in the meantime.
If it gets to a point where we get regular donations, then id consider the techincal setup of having a BTC payserver,
