Agree that people will always value craftsmanship.
Being hand-made requires commitment. Something about the possible consequences of messing up.
I value the quote from the Diamond Age:

Craftsmanship - Yes, I am currently in the process of slowly replacing everything I own with handmade crafts; I don't want to own many things - less but with the best.
My takeaway is the BEST products come from people who enjoy making them, but finding them takes lots of work.!
