Haha I just saw a post on LinkedIn the other day of some guy arguing with a Bitcoiner that Lithium is a better investment than Bitcoin.

Very tough business. My best friend is CFO of a small cap EV battery materials company. He can't tell me a lot because they are a public company but apparently it's a pain in the ass business.
Probably your best bet if you wanted to get exposure would be to buy an etf if you don't have some level of expertise in the industry.

That's cobalt and that's where the majority of the mineral is mined. Australia is actually the predominant source for lithium mining. China is by far and away the predominant source of lithium ion battery manufacture. I think around 75% of global supply. Sourcing the mineral closer to US would be a boon to western manufacture.
