The time has come and the SN NFL survivor pool week 1 picks are open. As you can see I am going with the "try to get eliminated as quickly as possible" strategy by picking the Commanders (who?) and Sam Howell (who?).
@siggy47 and @lawndough grab the low hanging fruit with the Ravens. We even get an anon troll in the chat. A lions fan (hmm).
If you are partaking in the pool, or just casually observing, please reply with the NFL team you support so we can begin general trashing talking. I think I know most of your teams but let's get it all documented for posterity. I am a 49ers fan (please don't mess this potential SB season up Brock).

I admit I’m a lions fan, but won’t be betting on them or against them ever again. Every time I’ve bet on them, I’ve lost. Two times I bet against them as an “emotional hedge” - and they covered both times. Another time I made it to week 14 or 15 in an elimination pool, had no choice but to select the lions. I believe they were favored to win the game, and lost. This particular elimination pool paid out over $100k to each winner that year.

People best IMMEDIATELY stop sleeping on those Giants. They'll have a chance late in the season to win the division if they can take 1/2 games from the Eagles!
And the Patrick Mahome's contract is starting to really eat into the team's depth, they'll struggle when it starts to matter in late November, no more cruise control to finish first in their division!
First starting QB benched: Justin Fields (gulp)? Bruh, you have Caleb Williams and Drake Maye waiting for you.

I actually don't have any idea who Sam Howell is. I wasn't joking around. I just watched 3 mins of his preseason highlights. Looks like he is great at 4 yard passes. Haha, good thing the commanders have a good D and Zona is awful.
