I checked out the BMW 420I that I will buy next week. Had an amazing test drive. Interior is fantastic and it is my first serious car. Happy to afford it thanks to btc.
ππ I was thinking to buy it or not but I just stacked enough btc. I do not wan all the bitcoins only to my self. By the way you need enjoy life as well. Stacking btc is one of the best thing in life. However, you should not forget that you have an opportunity cost.
Today I want to talk about opportunity zones. I would suggest that everyone cross reference crime rates and natural disasters with opportunity zones in there state. If you are Truth seekers who would like to be at least semi aware for safety reasons, please look into it. Let me know what you think please?
There's "six million" redditors subscribed to /r/Bitcoin. One front page post redirecting a small fraction of them over here will probably be enough to double or triple user count overnight.
I think we've already had front page posts afaik. I'd guess <100k of those 6m are "bitcoiners" and that's who we appeal to until we have user generated subs.
Sats will be deducted here until the payment completes or fails. Payments like this can get stuck if hops on the route aren't sending along the payment for whatever reason.
I looked into this further and based on where the money is being sent, I'd guess the problem is on the receiving end and you should reach out to the devs of the software you're using.
Somewhere along the route the payment is being held and not passed on. I'd guess it's a bug in one of those hops or the wallet itself (I'm trying to be discrete).
If the payment is held for too long the HTLCs will timeout and it'll effectively get refunded to your account.
Got together with some college friends over the weekend, a few of whom live in South FL. I mentioned I'd considered going to this year's Bitcoin conference and reaching out to them. One of them said "Yeah but didn't bitcoin die or something anyway?"
Cue #wearesoearly comments ... Granted, they likely pay very little attention to any investing least of all anything as technical as bitcoin.
It was a good reminder of what life is like outside the circles where I spend most of my time.
Yup. It can get really easy to forget that countless people out there don't even know what Bitcoin is or that it exists, much less that it is not only alive but thriving. Most people have much more pressing concerns and don't want to learn about it so much.
Invited to go on friends' boat for Labor Day. Got back near ten, which is pretty late for me, and it threw me out of whack, so I'm posting a little late today.
I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend and got on the week running! Tomorrow I start planning for The Miami Bitcoin Conference 2024...^_^

Just got a letter saying a my info was part of a data leak including name, SSN, gender, birthdate, and address. Fuck KYC. (Letter was not from a bitcoin related business.)
I just saw this bullish news: Luno and VALR to enable Bitcoin payments at Pick n Pay for their customers. For those of you who don't know, Pick n Pay is one of the largest retail businesses in South Africa: https://twitter.com/CryptoConverted/status/1698724965007143164
Yeah that movie was a trip. Some scenes/sequences were so well done though, like him trying to run out across the street to the corner store and back. I get a little anxious going to big cities so I totally felt him lol
Damn. As a younger brother (I'm 33 he's 40ish) i cringed at how shamed I would feel for misleading my bro due to my own.. Whatever it was. Blindness, stupidity, naivety.
I'd be worried that you'd never trust me again.
The worst aspect of my experience was that by the time I knew for certain it was a scam (certain things he told me raised red flags, but didn't trigger a full refusal to continue), it had already costed me fifteen short of $300.
At that point and doing research following a bigger loss on top of that, I engaged in sunk cost action and simply told him "keep me updated on whether you can pull all that out to your Lightning wallet or not."
I was pissed; at both his falling for it, and myself being the biggest loser.
Only silver lining here is that my motivation to find a job shot up tenfold, and I've already signed up for Bitwage so that all my paychecks once getting work will be in Bitcoin.
if you like to listen to podasts, the Fountain app is a good option to stack sats..
it's my biggest sats wallet, soon to be dethrone by SN ( i'm new here =D )
Yeah, that's the goal. I normally tip sats into the daily reward pool to keep my cowboy hat, but now I think I'll use them to encourage more activity in the daily as well.
If the snail gets tipped enough and I have a large surplus, then I'll do a mega dump at random.
I did not know I can keep my cowboy hat by tipping sats into the daily reward pool.
I really like the idea of tipping the fastest cowboy and thank you very much for todays tip. You definitely made my day extra special.
