Said it a bunch of times more but I'll say it again. 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand. Not a weekend read, it's very long but it perfectly describes today's society written in the 50s. Failing that I just read 'meditations' by Marcus Aurelius. Just a book of very good advice that applies well today as it did in the Roman Empire when it was written.
