Wondering how lucky I am. Great full that do not need to worry about inflation anymore.
My life is solved in the Matrix. Perhaps I should move to work on other more important things. π
Spent some time automating the rote part of writing the Saturday newsletter - finding, copying, and marking up all the links and stats (and then double and triple checking them). (I suspect it'll shave off an hour every saturday.)
Once I'm done with the newsletter, it'll be a weekend sprint to finish my @tabconf workshop on web of trust. Grabbed charlottesweboftrust.com for hosting it this morning. Hot dog!
Learning from babies - why do they use coconut or olive oil to moisturize their skin, yet adults use all the creams or lotions that are full of chemicals?
These are expensive oils. The ones adults use are synthetic. Thus, they are cheaper. Babies have less usage and sensitive skins regarding adults. So it is better to use natural solutions for the babies. I also think adults would use them.
No, the ironic thing is the chemical ones are more expensive, yet people prefer putting those into their bodies thanks to all the marketing from those "fancy brands" and "skincare experts" π
GM! The weekend is here everyone and it's time to relax, not everything has to be about grinding, we need to step back and take some time for ourselves, get yourself a treat, could be a nice steak with a baked potato with bacon, a shirt you saw at the store, perhaps a candy bar, some ice cream, a watch, anything you want, it's your treat and you deserve it, let's see what Saturday brings, so I wish you a phenomenal weekend and may it be filled with success and happiness. You are important, you absolutely matter and, of course, you are awesome!! Be well my good friend and stay frosty!
Hey buddy, weekend is going great, did some ribs on the grill and had a couple of beers, today is packing day, the wife and I are moving, so it's going to be a busy Sunday. Hope your weekend is awesome as well!!! Stay frosty!!
Well the good thing is that it's just 30 mts away, so yay... Thank you for your good wishes, it will be a good thing, wish I had a couple of beers to make the move more easy going, such a hassle to put things in boxes walk for a bit then take them out hehehe. Have an amazing day my friend!!
Shameless plug for The Bitcoin Company. I took the family out for ice cream using a Carvel gift card. Got a funny look from the cashier who thought the card looked "sketchy", but it worked.
I just bought a Foodland gift card from them this morning for my wife to try. That's a grocery store conglomerate in Canada. They have 4 or 5 different grocery store brands. They have 2 different locations near us. A premium store and a discount store. So we can definitely make use of it. Only thing I did not like is I tried to click the print button and it didn't work so I just screenshot the gift card with bar code and texted it to my wife.
My experience is that each card is different. The one I used last night did not have a bar code. The cashier had to type in numbers. The Dunkin Donuts card has a bar code and works smoothly. I wonder if anyone has tried the Visa card on SN? I'd be interested to know if they succeeded with in store purchases.
I have only bought a blockstream gift card because I wanted to buy a Jade hardware wallet, gas cards and now this grocery card today but I am open to trying other ones as well. I just pay in bitcoin and then re-buy whatever I just spent.
What I really like about it is Fold only has 3 or 4 options in Canada and it's stuff like the Gap which I have no interest in but Bitcoin company has gas, grocery, restaurants.
It was a nice night. I think Carvel is only a northeast U.S. brand. I'm surprised the Bitcoin Company had a gift card for it. I really like that you can log in with a lightning wallet. No email. No password.
Exhaustion had me down early, and therefore up early. I'm at my youtube playlist, on 26 of 58 videos, playing at 2x speed. Maybe I can get through it before 10am? lol, most of it probably.
it's just the videos from my subscriptions that I want to watch. I have news, boat, electricity, tools, science, comic books, japanese culture, travel, cspan daily podcast, welding/fabricating, history. that's most of the topics
I dreamed I was in the military but we were fighting the other side by crashing drones into each other and the controllers had to run after their drones to see their flight path
wishing a happy birthday to the young lady. that's a pretty important time in ones life, beginning to be interested in being an adult - choosing a college, or career path, not acting like a kid, but being accountable, and so on.
