Woke up today and discovered it was September. Not sure how this happened but on the bright side we are only 4 days away from Week 1 picks opening up for the SN NFL Survivor Pool. I am pretty excited about the upcoming NFL season and of course the pool.
I am slightly concerned the 49ers and Nick Bosa haven't agreed on a contract extension yet but I am hopeful it gets done in time for him to suit up week 1.
Shill me how you are feeling about your team's roster after training camp, preseason and heading into week 1.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Terrified of Jet's O line
reply
If the o line gets decimated again this season it will be ugly but I have high hopes for the d line for once
reply
Ugh same with 49ers. Starting OLine should be good enough but depth is horrible. One or two of the big boys go down and it could get ugly. Plus they just lost Manning to waivers who definitely wasn't going to be a starter but probably played the best out of the backups during preseason.
Get the ball out quick Purdy!
reply
You saying he gotta be purdy quick about going through his progressions? I'll see myself out to the naughty corner for puns like that.
reply
Haha good one. Reminds me of this:
Troy Tulowitzki hasn't played in mlb since 2019 but still to this day whenever someone says "too low" (describing a pitch) my son responds "Tulo-witzki".
I wonder if he can keep it up until Tulo's kid is old enough for pro ball and it becomes relevant again.

There's talk of Bosa coming to the Raiders, honoring the long legacy of great players moving across the bay.
reply
Talk is cheap as they say but I will play along. Bosa for Crosby and a first.
reply
How about Bosa for the historically great soon-to-be Hall of Fame pass rusher Chandler Jones?
We can throw in the best rusher in the league, if the deal needs to be sweetened. You can never have enough great expensive running backs.
reply
Jones is great. Getting a bit up there in years though. That would be a hell of running back room. Maybe a smidge on the expensive side in a cap world. Haha
I really like Crosby. I think he might win DPOY this year.
reply
Mad Maxx is going to be a monster this year. He's basically the only thing Raider Nation is looking forward to.
reply
What about Adams?
reply
You're in a great position to answer how entertaining great receiving talent is when you have the most injury prone QB in the league who can't throw a deep ball to save his life.
reply
Why you gotta unearth this darkness in my life?
Always a candidate for DPOY but that title will probably go to TJ Watt. If he remains healthy. That dude is a god damn monster.
reply
TJ is great. Need @mallardshead to weigh in with DPOY odds.

I suppose Maxx Crosby has increased his tackles and sacks every year so I'm with @Undiciplined here. If he increases again, there’s no reason he shouldn’t finish top-3 in voting. Look, the dude had 89 total tackles last year which was the second most of all NFL defensive linemen (not linebackers), but here’s the thing, after the top two, there’s a massive drop in tackles to the next closest at 74. Then another big drop to 65. Oh yeah, and Crosby had 22 tackles for a loss—MOST IN THE NFL. Max had 12.5 sacks, one shy of Micah Parsons. And Thing is Crosby is +2000, so DPOY makes it worth a shot. Bosa had 18.5 sacks and 51 tackles, 19 for a loss. Injuries are why you bet lightly on these type of awards, but barring that, I'll go Maxx. Fans are already starting to call for blood based on the fact he didn't finish top-5 in DPOY voting last year 🤣. This is the year that bullshit stops.
reply
Maxx also has the most pressures in the league over the past two seasons. If the rest of our defense wasn't abysmal, he might be pushing for 20 sacks a year.
On the injury note, Crosby had a broken hand when he was drafted and not only didn't miss any time, he had a dominant rookie season. This guy's an absolute beast.
not my team's roster, but i'm not upset that chris jones is going to be out for the chiefs week 1. if they have to blitz to create pressure on goff, that could play right into our hands. and the lions can use any help they get get with a tough week 1 matchup
reply
Lots of crazy stuff happens week 1.
reply
Hock extended. Danielle hunter one year patch up deal. Brian Flores defence, KOC Offense. Coach Hat special teams! Baby we got a stew going. JJ going for 2K I'm high on purple koolaid, can't tell me otherwise. Let's go Vikings! SKOL!
reply
I haven't decided on my week 1 pick but Vikings were one of my considerations. Save em for later.
reply
We're playing the bucs week 1. I think I'm going to try and target Arizona as often as possible lol. They've made a big signal to the world that they are tanking.
reply
Shhhh. Leaning this way week 1 as well.
reply
I think everyone is. Target the cards until you can't target them any more. Or kyler comes back. Things get muddy if kylers back.

Drove my wife to work and took my daughter with me. 50s gold was on Sirius satellite radio in the car and this song came on.
Izzy loved it. Might have a Vikings fan on my hands. I better correct this immediately. Haha.
