Super annoying when they do that.

reply

Don't they always do that?

reply

Bitcoin Mag? Yeah, pretty much. I really dislike it.

reply

Yeah I unfollowed them for this reason. It's super dumb.

reply

I mean it makes sense ... they want to break news on twitter to gain twitter followers but they don't want to share sources or other publications because they only want to promote their own publication.

reply

Its a very short term thinking approach. It is the same approach old school newspaper sites have done for years. The never have outbound links. I get it, I just think its bad form and makes me distrust them. Open wins long term.

Thinking those two objectives (gain followers and include references) are orthogonal seems to me like legacy media style thinking

reply

I agree. Non-legacy style thinking is risky though so we shouldn't be surprised.

It's the hypocrisy that blows my mind personally. You see all this "decentralized, foss, and free for thee" but "hierarchical, closed, and pay-for-play for me" in bitcoin media.

fuck the sec, grayscale, and shitcoin-mag with their silly ordinals lol

The appeal was granted to continue the hearing...? Doesn't the SEC still decide?
