That is the best way to go, but that battle is lost for the masses, Obtainium (highly recommended) is for technically savvy people and those that are not but are willing to put the time to learn an understand the importance of FOSS and privacy, which are the very slim minority... Most people simply don't care, I neither bother anymore to offer solutions unless I am directly asked for the information or assistance to implement this or that...
