I keep my tools in a toolbox, in a drawer. Not next to my reproductive system, I mean my pocket of course, but modern normie drones are so immature they talk like 12 year olds who just started their first period or ejaculation, nor would I let my tools tell me what to do, ever.
But if you like to obey stupid machines that's your larp to have.
To say that I should accept the invasion of my privacy, the constant gathering of intelligence about my movements, in exchange for a few small conveniences, I'd rather refresh my skills in reading paper maps and people can go fuck themselves if I'm tired, busy, or just because fuck you that's why.
I like electricity. I can fix any electrical system and even older style electronic devices. I don't like microwave radiation though, but I'm not some doofus who thinks all microwave frequencies are ionising, most of them aren't. But the bands used in 5G and Starlink do include the oxygen activating 20ghz band and the 80ghz "V band" which was previously only allowed to be used by military. These frequencies DO have effects on electron charges on some kinds of materials and cause health problems with long term exposure.
You can still use a smartphone without having all the negatives from Apple or Google.
For example, GrapheneOS with open source apps. You can set it up so that you have all the benefits of the modern world, but without the ads, feeds, etc. You keep full control of what you see on your phone. You control the phone, not the other way around like the norm these days.
Even better than a paper map because those usually come with ads anyway and are not as useful.

thanks for talking some rational sense into this thread, I just don't have the energy today. But I'm on the same general page you are, by the look of it.
