I got to sleep in today, as it's my weekend. Of course what really happened: I went to sleep a few hours early yesterday and ended up waking up the same time as usual.
Going to prepare for the my podcast tonight, Saturday Night LIT, episode 34. And of course, tomorrow I host Bitcoin Brunch #117. (I think.)
Tell me what you've found interesting news in the last few weeks. Not bitcoin specific (though not excluded), news generally. Tech, culture, world news, local news, whatever.
I'll give 150 good ideas/news, 300 if there's a good citation, and 1000 for any ideas I use. The podcast is only an hour long so I can likely only use 5-10. I thank you for any suggestions.
Some states and conservative legal scholars are arguing that the 14th ammendment disqualifies Trump from running in the 2024 election and allows states to choose not to put him on the ballot. Really interesting if you're into that stuff.

A Canadian website is considered responsible for supplying chemical substances which may be used to aid suicide. Police in the UK are unlikely to investigate. Very very strange. Shining an uncomfortable spotlight on the dark-web.

the dark-web.
what does that phrase mean to you? to me it suggests needing a TOR browser to access the site. As they don't mention it in the article, I wonder why you used that phrase.
reply
I don’t see it as just an underlying or separate internet but also one intertwined with the existing. The dark web for me are websites or vendors offering services or products either covertly (using TOR) or by misrepresentation (ie plant food for powder highs) which may be illegal in some countries served.
There are more details around this and other cases available online - ‘Amazon suicide kits’ was one particularly unpleasant headline.

I already have Putin's Caterer on the list, but I will appreciate any interesting details with citations that add worthwhile color to the store.
