I just wanted to share that after being inspired by a thread here recently, I explored some VPN options. I ended up going with Mullvad, which seemed to be a crowd favorite. I really like the lack of PII (or really accounts at all, just a random ID) and being able to pay with many options. I paid up with BTC for a month (at a 10% discount) and it's been working nicely thus far.
So thank you, stackers!
perfect-privacy.com (founders from Hamburg Germany around the Chaos Computer Club I believe) is great, their service is around for a very long time already. Tons of payment options including Bitcoin, they used to have cash as well. They recently moved from Switzerland to Germany as Germany has probably the strongest privacy laws (a regulatory monster, cookies etc) in the world as Switzerland starts to suck. Happy customer for years, can recommend. They can also block all the ad and tracking stuff if you want.

You can also pay with lightning: https://vpn.sovereign.engineering/

Looks like it's not officially offered by Mullvad, but by this individual. Which is cool, except it exposes your account ID, which could be problematic given the 5 devices per account rule.

Basically that person buys a lot of topups and re-sells them through that website.
It's not an official reseller though, but it works.

Yeah I think it's weird the site even offers to enter your account number tbh.
But I can vouch for it, the coupons indeed work.

I think it's only because the API is there to be used. That's all.

Oh yes, I missed that. Cool!

Very Nice, I'm still on proton........using impervious and the Tor browser.....I guess Mullvad would tick all the boxes.......if Mullvad's accepting btc.. I guess they just gained a customer....
