The design pattern bitcoin is following, is that very bitcoin wallet will eventually be self-validating, including Lightning wallets, and anyone that even offers a custodial option where they can touch or direct your money will be considered a bad actor. We're less than 3 years from this.

Sync is something that makes it impossible for me to setup a node. I have limited data transfer (60gb per month) and it is terribly slow (300-600kb/s)😣
Nosync is something I would be very interested in.
