Gardening. Good for the body, mind and soul.

reply

Can you write article content about your expertise in Gardening?

reply

Not sure I would call it expertise. I do enjoy it and spend regular time in my garden but I don't think I would be able to add any signal you can't already find on the internet, instead of noise.

reply

Um most people can probably guess my outlet. I'm so happy to have found it though and it took a lot of searching.

If I weren't programming I'd probably be doing some kind of visual art.

reply

we're all very thankful you did find it!

It was a long time ago. I used to do graffiti. My tag was a green apple. Highlights: two water towers and one green apple over an IMF bankers face on a billboard.

Then I got into oil painting but only produced a handful of paintings.

I was a class or two shy of minoring in design in college. I also spent some time making my own furniture and doing my own upholstery because I couldn't afford the stuff I wanted.

An old girlfriend has the graffiti photos (which weren't digital because I was messing around with analog images). I was only ever proud of the graffiti really.

I do a lot of creative writing and discuss creative writing and the process of extracting info from the subconscious. it's fascinating to me. I use Substack a lot. It's a very good outlet for doing everything from writing to podcasts to videos. fantastic. I can't wait for a Lightning product to do what Substack does. https://commercialherschel.substack.com

I am earnestly seeking 3-5 other podcasters who want to start a podcast network that does not use any censorship sites. no youtube or social media. it's a lot of work but it's a thing that will work if the time is put in. i can't do it alone. i want to meet some other podcasters and do this. please spread the word.

Writing!
If I don’t write, the day feels off and unaccomplished to me.

Stacker News, ofc!
But there are many avenues for writing, including your personal diary.
