As I'd like to get more involved in the nostr universe, I'd appreciate some tips for npubs to follow. They can be from bitcoin/tech space but anything interesting to you also works!
It might benefit broader audience. Thanks!

Also, what nostr clients are people finding themselves using? I've tried a few now; satellite.earth, iris.to, nostrgram.co, primal.net, coracle.social, and have found myself gravitating back towards satellite.earth. Would love to get more suggestions and hear people's opinions on them. They've all really impressed me with how quickly they're developing and improving.

Primal and Iris client via TorBrowser

If I’ve already used nostr a few times without a vpn or tor browser, should I scrap the whole thing and start over with a fresh Npub? I’m not familiar with a lot of this stuff, but concerned about the IP leaks and privacy stuff obviously. I thought I read somewhere that your IP is visible to the clients and relays? If so, if I start using a vpn now, isn’t that pointless if my npub is already tied to the original IP address?

Ok, that makes sense and thank you for the help. Sounds like it’s probably pointless for me to worry about as I’m not doing anything illegal, and it’s a moot point until I fully de-google / de-apple / de-Microsoft

Good point. I'm currently using primal.net but I'll surely give a go to satellite.earth at least.

I think a good approach is to add one at a time, look who is following, who is talking with... and add up little by little, too much info is, most of the time, overwhelming, your filter (who you follow) will change over time.

You're absolutely right. That's the approach I'm surely going to take. Right now, my timeline is empty so it'd be nice to also get some initial npubs recommended for a reason.

Amethyst is great for mobile

It is a nice client but it drains drains the battery on my Samsung 😓

Probably this is what makes pwa apps have the advantage.

Thanks for the tip! Although this topic is about npubs, not nostr clients :D

Right
Well on an Amethyst profile you can see a list of followers & people they follow. Pick one of your high signal bitcoiners & just follow all of theirs. Super easy
