Well folks, I came across this article, originally on WSJ.com behind a paywall, but I was able to find a free version on MSN:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/you-re-telling-me-in-2023-you-still-have-a-droid-why-teens-hate-android-phones/ar-AA1ft46f

Two things I'd like to point out:

  • First: For some unknow reason I believe folks born around 2000's are less favorable to IT problem solving (and more reliant on UX/UI... that's just a feeling)
  • Second: For some odd reason, there are many different articles with the same context but over different years:

2018: https://www.androidauthority.com/teenagers-android-vs-iphone-854029/
2020: https://bgr.com/tech/iphone-vs-samsung-teenagers-survey-piper/
2021: https://www.gizchina.com/2021/04/08/88-of-the-us-teens-prefer-iphone-over-android-smartphones/
2022: https://www.androidauthority.com/teens-prefer-apple-3149997/

I'm pretty confident, if you search for more surveys like that you'll find...

  • What about you? Android or iPhone? WHAT ARE YOU USING NOW?
ANDROID75.0%
IPHONE25.0%
