I'm not sure we'll ever really see it. Because it's not really one organisation out there sponsoring teams.
I think I've seen tezos in F1 and maybe on some football (soccer) teams shirts. But that's an organisation that is sponsoring those teams.
I think bitcoins decentralised nature is why we may not see it on teams shirts or on the sides of cars. (If it's already there... Apologies, I just haven't spotted it). Who decides what team bitcoin sponsors?
I don't necessarily mean sponsor a team or put a bitcoin logo on the jersey but the team could integrate bitcoin in their operations. Sell tickets, merch and concessions for bitcoin, allow players to take part of salaries in bitcoin, offer bitcoin rewards for fanclub members etc.

Ah that angle. Yeah. For me it's the chicken and the egg when it comes to adoption. If the clients don't want to pay with BTC then the vendor isn't going to provide that capability. But they will once their customers all start asking to pay with BTC.
Didn't Brady take some salary in BTC? OBJ took a contract in BTC. Russel Okung the Olineman from the panthers took pay in BTC. I think Trevor Lawrence may have done so aswell. So we are starting to see athletes do it.

Yes definitely have seen some athletes request it. Russ is the man. Have you seen how fit he is looking now that he has retired. One of the things I would like to do with Stacker Sports when we get our own sub is try to get Russ on for an AMA.
reply
Nah I have a hard enough time keeping up with current players to keep up with retired guys.
Speaking of own sub... Do we intend on dropping a SN fantasy league. Not just survivor pool. But full blown superflex + IDP league.
reply
Probably not for this season but hopefully we can do that in the future. Once we have our own sub the possibilities will be endless. Haha.

Getting the NHL, NBA and MLB fans involved aswell... Theres gunna be multiple SN fantasy leagues across multiple sports and it's going to be glorious.
Soon it'll go from Stacker Sports meta take over to worldwide take over.
