One of the biggest barriers people have to replacing paper money with gold or Bitcoin is the idea that inflation is necessary.
I think the biggest barrier is they don't know what it is. They don't think about inflation and they don't know Bitcoin aims to fix it. They just live their lives distracted by CNN, BBC and other entertainment channels pretending to be informing them of "the news" while the governments and central banks screw them head over fist.
