How I've done it is leaving the sub selection section blank until typing everything else out. It wont let you post without selecting a sub, and so clicking post will highlight any errors in the post (too long of a headline, no sub selected, etc.) so you can adjust the headline if needed.

But yes having this extra feature would be much more convenient
