If you want to spread awareness, at least include a comment to the post explaining what exactly you want people to be aware of. Link spamming spreads annoyance.

Not necessarily.

Many people post to help spread awareness of something, and SN is just one of those targets where a post will help further boost the signal.    Any sats received are just icing on the cake.

I don't want to go that far, as there are high quality posts I want to boost. Compromise: no sats on links, only discussion posts.

make zaps only apply to comments and they'll stop.
