If you (still) consider yourself as a "citizen" you will never have rights, only privileges.
It's true, and that is what scares me.
I see many comments/concerns about a 51% attack, a 5-dollar wrench attack etc, but we currently (westerns) have the privilege of internet access, and it's hard to imagine being cut off.
Maybe I've spent too much time on Twitter, and I should take my tin foil hat off, but when I see people being cancelled/shadow banned and other online privileges revoked, it's hard not to think about what is next. Especially when you hear things like digital passports for internet access, or the UK gov trying to gain access to p2p encryption (https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3137)
On a plus, I always look at what Cuba achieved, and built their own internet.
