Today I completed a tutorial on language models. I was able to access chatgpt from within python.
And I was able to search on google and search on a website from within the code.
How does this relate to sats, bitcoin?
Imagine an agent (a piece of code which can do tasks for you) can own a wallet. Just like you and I. You can sent sats to that wallet and the agent can spent sats, create invoices etc.
Wouldn't that be great?
You could have 10 agents for you doing stuff on the internet. Like buying stuff, like researching. Like looking for data. And every time the agent needs to PAY it can just access its wallet and pay.
The agent can operate autonomously for you.
Trading bots Trading bots work like this. They can buy assets for you and sell. But they need to access the websites with your username and passwords.
But imagine in the code, like python code, a piece of software could own your private key for that specific wallet. And it would be able to do everything with that wallet that you could do. In the program.
Probably this can already be done within python. I only did not find it yet.
If you know how this is possible let me know below.
I want to test some agents who are able to buy stuff on the internet.
Nostr It might be cool if we could access the wallet of Nostr from within python. That way, I could have an agent who can spend sats on behalf of me from within python. What is needed for this? Who is already working on this?
A month-long AI + lightning hackathon just wrapped up. Have a look and see Wyatt purple came up with!

PlebAI. Bullish on this.
Nostr's open nature will allow for agents to help in online discourse. But, ai is spendy, so sats will be the oil that lubricates the machine.
May the best agents win. And they ein by stacking sats. V4V

Yup. This is what I'm working on.
AI and bitcoin work together very very well... add nostr to the mix and ❤️‍🔥 "boom!"
This is the future.

This is old stuff though, autonomous agents with payments in the web based on Bitcoin have been around for a while.
Have a read or listen to Life 3.0, it's a fictional book from 2017, but it basically describes nicely what has been happening.
Former President Barack Obama included the book in his "best of 2018" list.

Thanks! I’ll read it.
I have not seen agents with a wallet on the internet. Do you have any examples on where on the internet this is happening? I think indeed it was described well in that book you mentioned.
But I have not seen many agents actually on the web paying for stuff and earning sats. I think this is still in its infancy. The actual implementation.
I see there is a langchain bitcoin project that wants to give the agents access to wallets. That is a very recent project.
