Bitcoin Grove, Miami's dedicated Bitcoin workspace will open at a new location on September 1st. Several founding members participated in a Twitter Spaces this afternoon where @Ras announced the new spot and the opening date. We discussed the important potential for a Bitcoin only workspace to anchor sevel independent bitcoin-focused efforts in the greater community, serve as a resource to strengthen or those efforts, and as the catalyst for new ideas and discussions. Miami has tremendous nascent talent awaiting some organization and directions and I feel great excitement in playing some small role in these efforts.
The new location is a co-work called MADE at the Citadel, which is part of a larger development project that includes a food hall, thrift store, art gallery, rooftop bar and office space in Miami's Little River neighborhood. https://thecitadelmiami.com/
A few other members spitballed some Bitcoin Grove programming ideas to activate our new neighborhood. A bitcoin for business 101 workshop? Weekly presentation event to showcase community builders? Jungle Jorge's Brisket Waffles?
Also announced we'll be opening the Bitcoin Grove Store, offering seed signer kits and other signing devices for sale to support the membership-run effort and hopefully help more people feel confident enough to take control of their savings and secure their coin for the long haul. Also Hats.
Extremely excited about Bitcoin Grove at the Citadel which will open officially on 9/1.
