I am working on some fictional short stories that center around bitcoin. Sort of near future prediction scenarios (10 - 50 years tops) of people using bitcoin based loosely around biblical stories (Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esau, etc.) like East of Eden. These are mostly just labors of love and to scratch my creative writing itch. So, I thought maybe it would be fun to sell the stories as ordinals. That way people can actually own them like could if they bought a physical magazine or book.
How realistic is this to work? I personally haven't bought an ordinal, so maybe that answers the question for me. Or, are people using them?
Please don't litter. If you want physical copies available for purchase, why not publish on Amazon? They will physically print them for you.

I write some fiction myself, also some poetry. At one point I toyed with the idea to do something similar, but quickly rejected it. Not because of technical limitations, but rather because I found it'd mean holding my craft in far higher esteem than I actually do.
Don't get me wrong: I don't think what I write is bad. But it would have to be really, really good to justify imposing it upon tens of thousands of nodes worldwide, for all eternity. It'd have to be a masterpiece, a once in a lifetime piece of art. And even then, the purpose of doing so would remain in question.
So unless you believe your stories are world-changing, please don't.

Post the stories or poetry under Meta (sports). If you post it, sats will come.

Why sell the stories as ordinals when you can inscribe it once to the Blockchain, an simply point people to it so they can read it for free! Allow people to contribute to you as much as they want, and be part of the v4v movement, and history by being one of the first people to publish in Bitcoin

A single (non-ordinal) inscription creates much less clutter than making an ordinal for every time someone purchases it Does it create litter? Miners don't think so. it's a free market, so you can make history or you can play "nice" with people who want to socially censor the Blockchain, when we all know it's permissionless, and ordinals follow consensus rules.

Fiction stories about bitcoin idea sounds good. If you want to monetize, why not post and request sat tips or sell for sats. Selling as ordinals seems like silly grifting imo.

I love the idea @brandonsbytes! I'm actually thinking about writing some bitcoin-focused fiction too. My plan was to publish on habla.news, and then link to the stories here on stacker.news as well for more commentary/discussion. Maybe even some zaps 🤑 haha
