I like that good and bad are in full display. Life in high-res.

I haven't seen that yet but I stay off the global feed. It's a tradeoff, since it limits your exposure, but it's annoying to wade through the garbage.

so i was wondering what others thing about that side of freedom - i wonder what different ways we'll end up curating our spheres, how do those not become echo chambers or maybe they must, is there a role tech (including ai) can play in helping people see the evil in their bigotry and hatred or does it only serve to amplify such things in tribes, the juxtaposition of good and evil in the freedom of choice..
or is this not a reasonable area to explore? do you already have a self-evident nugget of wisdom i SO clearly missed?

It is said we fear what we don't understand. Most bigotry stems from some deep-seated fear, probably of change. One type of echo chamber emerges when people sharing the same fears congregate. It is also said that to enhance our productive potential we should surround ourselves with people who inspire and motivate us. Another type of echo chamber emerges when someone has a singular focus, and they eliminate distractions from that focus. Finally, it is said that ignorance is bliss. Another type of echo chamber emerges when people don't realize the content of their attentions are controlled by people who live within the first two echo chambers.
If we find these echo chambers unhealthy for society, how do we tackle them? As an individual I advocate for the free exchange of information, both in word and deed. The ability to monopolize information grants people in the first two chambers undue power over people in the final chamber. I wouldn't see it as reasonable to force people out of echo chambers, but very relevant to understand that most are forced into them.
