This should be an easily traceable metric, but I've never invested the time in doing my own research on the subject, though I do know how I would go about it. Which wallets are the ones causing the major movements? We see a price dump or jump in one day of over 5k, and I'm sure that it only comes from a few sources if you trace the transactions.

I enjoy looking at the behavior of a few whale wallets on mempool.space, now and again, but I don't follow any that suddenly start moving the kind of volume we see when the price starts flying. Anyone have an interesting address for me to look at?
