Thanks to everyone who participated in NFL pre-pre season week. I am looking forward to the season starting. That being said, I am sure you are all as enthused about the Blue Jays acquiring Jordan Hicks (potentially the best reliever on the market- I don't think Hader is getting traded) as I am. With the trade deadline tomorrow, I would love to see them add a RHH outfielder or 2B that can hit somewhere between 2-5 in the lineup. A lot to ask but hopefully it happens.

Shill me what you are hoping your team will acquire or sell off at the deadline.

Blue Jays 6 games behind for division lead with around 52 games left... They're worth a +700 bet imho, barely, but the odds are right. I'm all about those futures, usually don't touch single games unless they're available a month or two out.

They need to add a middle of the order bat (good luck with that). Pitching has been very good all year, aside from a couple stretches where the bullpen faltered (bound to happen in a 162 game season). I think the orioles are playing over their heads but I am not sure it matters because they are young and confident so I don't see why they can't carry this level of play for another two months.

I'm glad your team made a nice acquisition, but I haven't followed baseball since Ken Griffey Jr. got injured.

You should give it another look. The current game with pitch clock and other rules changes has the game looking more like it used to. Still way too many strikeouts in my opinion but the rule changes have been good for the game. A lot of young exciting players flourishing.

I want the Mets to get whatever prospects they can get, like they did with Max, and then use Cohen's wallet again next year.

Yeah a good opportunity to reset for them. I know they are picking up a lot of Scherzer's contract but if they move Verlander too it frees up a lot of salary to go after Ohtani. Not sure he goes to the east coast but if he does it is probably to one of the NY teams.

Definitely some good moves to reset. A good buddy on mine is going to the Mets game on the 25th vs the Angels. I believe he is travelling to NY for work but is planning to stay an extra day or two to catch a game. Hopefully he gets lucky and Ohtani is pitching.
