My @github account has been suspended without a prior notification. Perhaps because I am ethnically Russian. "GitHub’s vision is to be the home for all developers, no matter where they reside" they said.
To hell with Github if they go through with this. Git is plenty powerful on its own, and Gitlab interface is good.
Tor doesn't even bother with Github.

Well, for my own project, sure -- I can add the repo to my Gitlab account and continue without skipping hardly a beat. But when the project isn't mine , and the repo owner isn't either wanting to move it, or in any position to move it, then if I'm suspended the project continues but without my involvement. Sure I can create a new Github account and go through a VPN into Github again as that new user, but there's no guarantee the same thing won't happen at a later time once again using my new account.
In hindsight though, Github suspending my account would certainly be an incentive that would drive me to Gitlab for everything!
