This has some cool anonymity properties. You can generate the Moon card without KYC (using only email and funding it with your non-KYC sats). Then when you connect it in the phone, both Apple and Google then generate anonymous card number during payment. So the seller won't even know that you had Moon card to start with.
Of course you need to have anonymous Google or Apple account on your phone - if you are connecting this with your personal account, then you don't really gain much.
(but I also agree with @DarthCoin that "fuck those shit cards", and I'd suggest you follow what I said above only if your life depends on it...)

Amazed me that many "privacy advocates" say to you that x and y app is not FOSS bla bla, but then they go and use these kind of cards and fiat money, that are totally closed source apps and even more than that: perpetuate the surveillance of individuals.
hahahaahhahahahaha

I really don't understand this obsession US people have with these shit cards... you guys can't let go visa and banks?
So you work hard to get some BTC, then you go to give away your BTC for some fictitious money on these cards, so to add them back to google and apple (that means giving them fees)...
Instead of just dumping all the shit fiat and start suing ONLY Bitcoin.
Why don't you start convincing all those mom and pop shops to accept BTC and get rid of all these shitcoins?!
Fucking UNBELIEVABLE!
We will never get out of shit if we still continue using these cards. Are a fucking joke.

Bull bitcoins bylls service allows anyone in Canada to pay any bill entirely in bitcoin. Good option if ever you got a bill to pay and they don’t natively accept Bitcoin.

KYC-free prepaid credit cards can help a lot, e.g. if a brick-and-mortar store or public transit machine doesn't accept cash or if an online store or app (e.g. taxi, delivery) doesn't accept crypto or gift cards. (In many countries, it isn't possible to buy Visa/MasterCard gift cards for cash in gas stations anymore.)
Sadly you can't convince everyone to accept Bitcoin and there may be no alternative stores/apps that sell what you need, so it's great for financial inclusion to have a KYC-free option to access credit card payments.

This is very exciting. You can now be fully unbanked in the US with lightning and still participate in the present ancient payment networks.

I've been using this paywithmoon/nfc-pay at several places for a few days (in the US) and it works great! I haven't run into any rejections yet.

- Only available in the US for now
I think that for Europeans the company BitPanda [1] has a similar option, with a Visa credit card (not on Apple Pay just yet, though).

Sadly Bitpanda requires KYC.
The Bitcoin Company offers KYC-free virtual cards that work with Google Pay: https://twitter.com/thebtcco/status/1516908903019253761 https://twitter.com/thebtcco/status/1515813873680633862
