I haven't listened to it yet. I was concerned it was like all the other Balaji podcasts which tend to be hard to listen to because the host usually wants to challenge him when Balaji clearly just wants to do a monologue. But everyone keeps say 'this is the one' so I'll queue it up.
I don't remember one time when Marty interrupted him. He did a masterful job of staying out of his way.

Honestly it's not that hard to stay out of Balaji's way -- he'll literally talk for ten minutes uninterrupted, pushing and popping items on the stack, delivering book chapters basically verbatim. He somehow never loses track of where he is or what he's saying.
The guy's clearly a genius. The downside is that I've never heard him interviewed in a way that was actually a dialogue, vs a monologue. Stick a coin in him and he's gone, world's easiest interview.

Agreed! I would prefer a dialogue but it doesn’t seem to be his vibe.

Did you watch the video or just listen? I guess he has a bunch of slides too
reply
Lots of slides. Enough in my opinion to warrant watching the video instead.

It’s more of the same. It’s a decent listen my main take away is he never finishes a true thought.
