There is wide trade deficit between the two countries with Russia being the major exporter. So it doesnt make sense for them to hold rupees. India is now trading with chinese yuan for Russian purchases.

It doesn't make sense for any two countries to trade in currencies that only these two countries would accept. All these news about BRICS new currency are just bullshit.
