It sounds very good. But how? It seems contradictory to be self custody but no channel management? Who manages it then?
- embedded node on your phone
- no channel management necessary
- self custody as expected

I need to read up on the most recent development, but I know a lot of new features were coming to Lightning to allow this kind of thing. Some combination of Single Dynamic Channels, Splicing, or Channel Factories.
Lightning devs had some major engineering obstacles to overcome. But as they do, I think people are going to be blown away by how powerful and easy Lightning is to use.

I guess Zeus will be more like Phoenix, only instead of doing the channel management for you Zeus will let you flip the switches 🤔

Honestly I wish they would just create a new product rather than change Zeus - I want to connect to my own node that isn't on my phone.

It sounds like you can still use Zeus the old way and they’re just adding the phone node functionality to the current Zeus.
My concern is whether this new addition will take development and maintenance effort away from the node remote control portion of the app, resulting in degradation of advancement and quality of the remote control?

Yeah this is my concern as well. I'd say they're wildly different apps, so mixing them sounds iffy. Just create a new app 🙏
