The official inflation of the Brazilian government is very low, close to the US government. The only point is that we have a basic interest rate of almost 14% p.a. If the Fed raises rates, we'll easily have double-digit inflation around here. Living in the third world is very complicated.

The real number could be anywhere from 5 to 10 % higher, on average.

By changing the calculation method and manipulating the figures, the Fed's 2% target will be reached...
But don't pay too much attention and beware.
