The TC author couldn't bother to explain how it works?

The body scanner just scans the skin and then they have some kind of cardiovascular scanner. Everything else sounds like a normal preventative exam with a decent doctor but downstream involves modern tech.

It looks like they are technologically biased toward a computer being able to "see" the blood/body/etc with visible and nonvisible light which is interesting.
