From what I gathered from one of the ZBD guys being interviewed by Preston Pysh, I think the game companies share ad revenue. I assume that means the games have ads playing in them.
I kinda hope it's not that since games with ads are super annoying to me. But, if there are ads better to get a share of the ads, I suppose.
I assume game companies could also just pay out small amounts of sats without ads, but they assumption is that players will pay for in-app purchases. For example, perhaps the average user spends $10 in in-app purchases over a period of time, but during that time the company pays out $5 in sats. As in, players get "tricked" (for lack of a better word) to play the game to earn sats but they end up (on average) to buy in-app stuff so the companies make more than they pay out.
