I had a new acquaintance a couple of days ago and when the subject came about bitcoin, she was like "I'm really not into it, it's a scam". I try not to go around evangelizing people, but I tried to explain the difference between crypto and bitcoin and how one is the complete opposite of the other. This girl was into "bitcoin" through a fake website where she was rugged, and now she conflates bitcoin, crypto and scams, the two latter maybe not that different. Just to say that we need to work together denouncing scams, reporting fake phishing websites and being vocal about the difference between crypto and bitcoin. The amount of money and resources that's been wasted in these projects, and in general the delay of bitcoin advance due to this has been huge.
