It’s so funny. When I saw a bitcoin founder based in Toronto 3 months ago, he was like “there aren’t really bitcoiners in Toronto.”
Shortly after they had their first meetup and now their first conference.

Yes, I think there is an illusion of the lack on interest in some regions because most activity is done online, however real people are behind this online activity and once they have the chance they will show up.
I think the same also applies to retail stores and physical commerce, once people get the opportunity to trade using bitcoin, the outcome wont be different.

I was there as well and there was so much enthusiasm from locals. Great to see the city has such a thriving base of hodlers/accumulators.
