You guys have no idea how bizarre posts like this are (in a good way) for those of us who grew up there. El Salvador was never a tourist destination, and was actually completely unsafe for tourists. Everyone you talk to there, almost without exception, has been personally affected by violence, either directly or indirectly.

So, posts like this one warm my heart tbh. Glad you had a good time.
